Boston party starters and masters of the slow jam Soul Clap are the next guests at the A Night With… series. On Saturday, June 9th they’ll get behind decks for eight hours at The Loft Studios in West London as part of their Efunk album tour. The duo have already been to Miami, Rome, Paris, New York and Berlin – for London they’ll bring their Everybody´s Freaky Under Natures Kingdom sound with the aim of leaving people grooving and moving together in intergalactic harmony.
Eastern Electrics Festival has announced a major change in this year’s debut event. It will be moving from its Clapham Common venue announced last month to a new space.
FOUND at Vauxhall’s Hidden is back for the summer, kicking off with a Clone Records night on Friday, May 11th presented by TRIX and Streets of Beige. Gerd, Conforce, Untold and Genius of Time will represent imprints Basement Series and Royal Oak for a major label showcase. On Friday, June 1st Heritage returns with a secret line-up and there’s more secrecy on Friday, June 8th for a special FOUND event.
Joining Dizzee Rascal on the main stage at Shakedown Festival in Brighton are Professor Green, Katy B, Stooshe, Clement Marfo and The Frontline. Taking place on Saturday, October 6th in Stanmer Park, Shakedown will cap off the festival season with a day event of beats, bass and electronic rhythms.
Industry have unveiled plans for their first event in Birmingham featuring Booka Shade, Carl Craig, Dubfire and DJ T over the Jubilee Weekend. We Are Industry on Sunday, June 3rd will start at 12noon with an outdoor party on Floodgrate Street in Digbeeth until midnight before moving inside for an afterparty until 6am.
There are just under five months to go until the Fort at Punta Christo in Croatia hosts the debut Dimensions festival. Produced by the team behind Outlook, Dimensions will take place in September hosting top names in house, techno and electronica.

A one-off festival to commemorate the late Joe Strummer is coming this summer. From Friday, August, 17th to Sunday, August 19th a secret location in Somerset countryside will mark the 10th anniversary of the death of the legendary Clash frontman. Strummer of Love will host 5,000 visitors with the aim to re-connect with the original concept of a festival – a joyous celebration in the fields. The line up is yet to be announced, but will comprise of friends and fans of Joe’s paying respect to the influence that he has had on their lives and music.

The Price is Right and Strictly Come Dancing presenter will be at Hop Farm Festival at Kent’s Paddock Wood over the weekend of Friday, June 29th to Sunday, July 1st.
The Red Bull Music Academy rocks up to The Big Chill Bar on Monday, April 16th for a free night of bass music from 7pm until 1am. Academy team member, Deviation host and Radio 1 presenter Benji B will DJ alongside MC Judah, and last year’s Academy graduate Om Unit will also get behind the decks. Big Chill residents will lend their support to the soulful, forward-thinking, bass-filled beat music from old classics to new sounds.

The BoomTown Fair at Winchester’s Matterley Estate has sold more than 70 percent of its tickets, and has now revealed its fancy dress theme along with plans for 15 new venues, areas, attractions and adventures. From Thursday, August 9th to Sunday, August 12th its immersive environment will be full of fancy dress of the outer space variety and last year organisers saw revellers adopt their personas for the entire four days and nights. This year there will be 15 more bonkers venues for space creatures to enjoy themselves.

The all-night warehouse parties will step out into the daylight with six stages and acts including Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz, Tensnake and Joy Orbison previously announced for the 11am to 10pm day of house and techno. The mechanical, fire-breathing beast of a festival stage that is Arcadia is taking a year off to with no Glastonbury this summer to go on a pyrotechnic extravaganza of a tour. There will be a new, exclusive, one-off show with the mega 50-tonne spider structure at Bristol’s BoomTown Fair in August and a collaboration of imported fire art, circus and mechanical sculptures at Bestival in September. The team will also be venturing into Europe for the first time.

The Lake District’s Kendal Calling has confirmed a host of acts to join headliners Dizzee Rascal, James and Maximo Park. Birmingham’s newest music venue LAB11 opened its doors on Saturday, March 31st attracting a sell out crowd. The Digbeth venue was christened with sets from Radio Slave, Mark Henning and Ethy & Flori across two rooms of a former warehouse plus an outside terrace.
