Three hours of Martyn at Big Chill House

The Red Bull Music Academy has become a globally-recognised platform for unique music projects since its inception in 1998. Each year, the Academy takes over an inner city space, transforming it into a bespoke venue for musical innovation where aspiring music makers from all over the world are joined by pioneering legends to learn about music history and technology. Previous lecturers have included Bootsy Collins, Nile Rogers, Carl Craig, Bob Moog, Steve Reich, Erykah Badu and the Mizell Brothers as well as more recent successes such as MIA, Oneohtrix Point Never, Peaches and Magnetic Man’s Skream.

Urban Nerds 5th birthday

Underground bassline partystarters the Urban Nerds celebrate reaching their fifth birthday with a massive bash on Saturday, May 26th at London’s Scala. The sound of Germany’s clubbing hotspot Berlin will be heard at London’s EGG over the May bank holiday weekend. Celebrating its ninth birthday on Saturday, May 5th, the club’s regular Berlin Berlin night will welcome Monika Kruse, Hamburg duo Kaiserdisco and electronic icon D.Ramirez as well as Edwin Oosterwal, C.J. A Night With... Soul Clap

Boston party starters and masters of the slow jam Soul Clap are the next guests at the A Night With… series. On Saturday, June 9th they’ll get behind decks for eight hours at The Loft Studios in West London as part of their Efunk album tour. Industry host 18-hour Birmingham party

Industry have unveiled plans for their first event in Birmingham featuring Booka Shade, Carl Craig, Dubfire and DJ T over the Jubilee Weekend. We Are Industry on Sunday, June 3rd will start at 12noon with an outdoor party on Floodgrate Street in Digbeeth until midnight before moving inside for an afterparty until 6am.

Avicii headlines O2

Superstar house DJ Avicii will headline the O2 over the Queen’s Jubilee weekend. On Monday, June 4th the 22-year-old Swede will get behind the decks and is sure to play hits such as “Levels”, “Fade Into Darkness” and “Seek Bromance”. Strummer of Love festival announced

A one-off festival to commemorate the late Joe Strummer is coming this summer. From Friday, August, 17th to Sunday, August 19th a secret location in Somerset countryside will mark the 10th anniversary of the death of the legendary Clash frontman. Strummer of Love will host 5,000 visitors with the aim to re-connect with the original concept of a festival – a joyous celebration in the fields. The line up is yet to be announced, but will comprise of friends and fans of Joe’s paying respect to the influence that he has had on their lives and music.
