Over the last few years the annual Bloc festival has become a compulsory destination for electronic music fans. No other UK festival so vigorously and variously reaps the vanguard of underground dance music past and present quite like they do and they’ve put together an impressive line-up for this year’s In:Motion show.

Subloaded take over the main room with heavy-hitter Joker centre stage. His debut album The Vision has been causing a stir and he’ll be sure to drop his favourite tunes along with fresh material. Tectonic’s 2562 will provide the deeper dubstep sounds while Artwork takes a break from working with Skream and Benga on Magnetic Man for a solo set. Illumsphere, Gemmy, Crazy D, Koast and C-Strike-Z will provide support.

In the Border Community tunnel room it is all about the 4/4 beats as label boss James Holden will play one of his vibrantly diverse sets. Nathan Fake’s glitchy sounds and Fairmont’s lush tunes will keep the dancefloor filled. Meanwhile in the Bloc room festival favourites Jo Hart, Al Tourettes, Placid and Rubin will spin the tunes and acid-god Luke Vibert will make a special appearance.
