Try the mindful triathlon at Wanderlust UK


The world’s only ‘mindful triathlon’ will be hosted in London’s Victoria Park on Saturday, September 23rd. The Wanderlust 108 feature a five-kilometre run (or walk), an outdoor 90-minute yoga class and a guided meditation as part of a day of yoga lifestyle from 7.30am to 4.30pm.

Participants at Wanderlust UK will be able to book a free scheduled class such as aerial yoga, acro-yoga, hooping, walking meditation, workshops, or a community yoga experience from favourite local teachers. There will also be live music, DJs, artisanal vendors, local foods and further activities to be revealed.

Celest Pereira (triyoga) and Michael James Wong (Boys of Yoga / Just Breathe London / Sunday School Yoga) are among the yogis leading the classes. Wanderlust US regulars will be flying in for the day, including DJ Taz and Arli Liberman, who live soundtrack the yoga and meditation practice.

The Kula Marketplace will showcase local craft vendors, including clothing, jewellery, and handcrafted items. Local and organic food vendors will be on site, as well as the adidas x Wanderlust Dome.

Sean Hoess, Co-CEO of Wanderlust said: “Most triathlons are about how strong, fast and fit you are. Our focus is on how healthy, balanced and mentally strong you are, so we combined three activities that fit the bill: running, yoga and meditation. The event can be completed even by someone who has never run, practiced yoga or meditated before, but then getting grounded can be a challenge, too.  Like all forms of practice, Wanderlust 108 is about the journey itself – not how fast you get there.”
