Iconic British ska band The Specials will share top billing with reggae heroes Toots And The Maytals at three UK dates. They’ll be joiend by ska-rock band, Bedouin Soundclash, and DJ Matt McManamon of The Dead 60s fame at the co-headline shows in Birmingham, Leeds and Hatfield.
Bedouin Soundclash join the shows following an end to their hiatus started in 2012. Famed for their album Sounding a Mosaic featuring hit single ‘‘When The Night Feels My Song’, they’ve previously appeared alongside diverse acts such as No Doubt, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Damian Marley. Completing the ska party will be Matt McManamon, frontman of the recently reformed The Dead 60s.
On supporting The Specials and Toots & The Maytals, Bedouin Soundclash said: “Both Toots and The Maytals and the Specials have had such a huge impact on us musically. They are musical royalty. After a 5 year hiatus, it’s an honour, a privilege, and a pleasure to be invited to share the stage with these legends of culture.”
The three-date tour starts on Friday, May 26th at Genting Arena in Lakeside, Birmingham before moving onto Millenium Square in Leeds on Saturday, May 27th. The final show will be at The Forum in Hatfield on Sunday, May 28th.
