The Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender will return in 2019 with a new location: Brighton Beach. Brass, hip hop, soul, tropical, Afro-beat, world, disco and house will be heard over three day on the south coast from Friday, May 17th to Sunday, May 19th.
The first acts confirmed are Kamasi Washington, Maribou State (DJ set), Lee Fields & The Expressions, Gilles Peterson, Alice Russell, The Pharcyde, Kamaal Williams, Romare, Yazmin Lacey, Fatima, Norman Jay MBE, DJ Yoda, Hackney Colliery Band, Akua Naru, XOA, Afriquoi, Dat Brass, J Felix, Holly Walker and Children of Zeus.
In addition to the musical, the festival will also offer record fairs, film screenings, talks, meditation, dance classes, a disco yoga experience, secret parties, cabaret, soul food and craft beer.
