The two-day weekender in Manchester is back on Saturday, June 9th and Sunday, June 10th with promotions and top acts from across the music spectrum.
Platt Fields will welcome Oklahoma City’s psychedelic alternative rockers The Flaming Lips on the Saturday and grime rapper Dizzee Rascal on the Sunday, leading the first announcement for Parklife’s third year. Pop, indie, electronic and crossover sounds are represented throughout the bill, including much-loved names and many in the 2012’s ‘Ones to Watch’ lists. Supporting The Flaming Lips on the main stage on the Saturday are Noah & The Whale, Kelis, The Cuban Brothers, DJ Yoda and classic disco hits from Chic featuring Nile Rogers while Dizzee Rascal will have much-loved hip hop act De La Soul, rising star Labrinth, Azealia Banks and Mista Jam warming up for his Bonkers set.

The rest of the Saturday line-up has a live set from dubsteppers Nero and a DJ set from famed drum and bass rockers Pendulum on the Metroplex stage with Goldie among the support, while the Crosstown Rebels will bring their house and techno sounds with Damian Lazarus, Art Department and Maceo Plex. The Now Wave stage of the hottest alternative acts will have Crystal Castles, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaus, Tom Vek and Django Django among the fresh sounds. Thrasher are back with varied styles ranging form Redlight’s basslines and Jackmaster’s party tune selection to Araabmuzik’s crossover tunes and Lone’s old skool tinged sets. Also for the Saturday is Chibuku’s stage with Fake Blood, James Zabiela, Tensnake and D/R/U/G/S along with Kaluki who have Heidi, Marco Effe and James Mile.
Sunday will see a live performance from Justice on the Metroplex stage with special guest Jacques Lu Cont, Busy P and Erol Alkan. The Now Wave stage will welcome The Rapture, Mount Kimbie and Gold Panda while Hospotality bring the drum and bass thanks to High Contrast, Netsky, London Elektricity plus a Zinc jungle set. An impressive line-up awaits on Wax:On’s stage with hot property Maya Jane-Coles, Dirtybird’s Claude VonStroke and the ever-present Julio Bashmore. Ape Carnival Sounds welcome live sets from Fresh and Buraka Som Sistema with DJ sets from the likes of Caspa, Shy FX and David Rodigan. Finally for Sunday, Footwork have lined up Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb and Floating Points among others.
