The Cause reveals re-opening plans

The Cause will re-open from Friday, June 25th with three events to kick off its summer schedule. No artists have been announced for Friday and the Saturday (June 26th), but the London venue will give ticket holders access to new warehouse, The Theatre.

The opening Sunday (27th June) will feature a new party ‘In Full Swing’ dedicated to all strands of UK garage, past, present and future in association with Earful of Wax, Dim Sum Records and Shuffle’N’Swing.

Co-founder Stuart Glen said: “When our site was operational last summer it was pretty much illegal to dance. Having the opportunity to let people move around again, to have the freedom to dance, to get lost in the music, it will be an amazing moment in time. I am buzzing to say the least! We can’t wait to show you what we have in store.”

The Cause has also teased key dates including the club’s third birthday Dance Energy weekender (Saturday, July 31st - Sunday, August 1st) and its annual Halloween Block Party on Saturday, October 30th. A Yoyaku x Alien Communications showcase is planned on Saturday, July 10th, Faith will celebrate both their 21st and 22nd birthdays on Saturday, July 17th, and there will be a Rinse Friends & Family Summer BBQ on Saturday, July 24th.

The Cause plans to start several parties at 8am as Stuart believes clubbers have wasted too much time off the dancefloor over the past year. He added: “Turning up at breakfast time is the hallmark of a legendary club. Think about it. Trade at Turnmills, DC10, Sundays at Space, Elrow’s original Row14 parties, even Berghain is always best at this time. Doesn’t sound so silly now does it?”.

Tickets for events at The Cause are available from Resident Advisor.
