Re-watch Sónar+D CCCB

Sónar+D CCCB shows and talks featuring acts such as Arca, Max Cooper, Sega Bodega, Morad, Niño de Elche, Holly Herndon, John Talabot and Desilence are now available online. The hybrid digital event in September featured 140 activities including live shows, DJ sets, conferences, video performances and workshops broadcasted from Barcelona.

The programme has been made available online, including 24 hours of DJ sets recorded back-to-back from the Torre d’Alta Mar venue in Barcelona’s port.

Among the shows now available to re-watch in VOD are the immersive AV performances from John Talabot & Desilence and Carles Viarnes & Alba G. Corral plus live sets from Ylia, Max Cooper, Morad and Shoeg. Also available is ARCA’s DJ set performed live at CCCB during the event.

The music program also includes video performances and content contributed from artists close to the festival such as Sega Bodega, Daito Manabe, Niño de Elche, Chenta Tsai, Ms Nina and Lolo & Sosaku.

Among the talks, Sougwen Chung and Monica Rikic set out two cases for seeing machines as artistic collaborators not competitors in ‘Creative Robotics’, while strategies for dealing with the uncertainty of developments are put forward by post-futurist Elisabet Roselló in ‘So What about the Future?’.

Our changing environment and how climate change can be addressed through art are tackled by lecture and exhibition ‘AIRE/ARIA/AIR’, curated by Olga Subirós and presented by Institut Ramón Llull, as well as in the S+T+ARTS talk, ‘Re-Thinking the Future of Cities’ where artists and environmental activists demonstrate how the urban space can be reshaped ethically.

Six Workshops are available: an introduction to live coding and collaborative algorave with linalab; how to resolve audio problems with Sonosuite; embodied narratives in VR with BeAnotherLab; a journey through network infrastructures with Mario Santamaria; live digital narratives with Alba G. Corral; and frameworks to manage uncertainties with Postfutureo’s Elisabet Roselló.
