East London’s Oval Space and The Pickle Factory have announced their shows for July to September 2018. The two venues will welcome acts such as DJ Bone, Actress, Ceephax Acid Crew, Dr Rubinstein, Mood II Swing and Discodromo in the coming months.
Tomorrow (Friday, July 27th), The Pickle Factory resident Josey Rebelle steps over the road to curate a one-off special with A Guy Called Gerald (acid house DJ Set), Actress (DJ), rRoxymore and Danielle of Phonica Records at Oval Space. On Friday, August 24th, Oval Space will welcome in the final bank holiday of the year with Mood II Swing, Marcellus Pittman and Pender Street Steppers.
At The Pickle Factory, the final show of July sees DJ Bone play a rare All Night Long on Saturday (28th), then August acts include Andrew James Gustav and Convextion (Friday, 3rd), an electro special with Dr Rubenstein and Plant43 (Friday, 10th), an I Love Acid collaboration with Altern8 and Ceephax Acid Crew (Friday, 17th) and a Japan showcase (Sunday, 26th) with Soichi Terada, Kuniyuki, Kay Suzuki and a very special guest.
Pickle’s resident parties continue with Body Hammer (Saturday, 18th) plus Nick The Record and John Gomez’s Tangent party (Friday, 31st). Drum & bass continues a 2018 renaissance at The Pickle Factory with Lenzman’s North Quarter (Saturday, August 4th) and Hybrid Minds (Saturday, September 1st) alongside fortnightly Thursday night sessions with Soul In Motion.
Moving into September, catch Discodromo (Friday, 7th), Francesco Del Garda b2b Evan Baggs (Friday, 14th), Solar b2b Jane Fitz (Friday, 21st), a Freerotation showcase with Cubic Space Collective (live), Steevio & Suzybee (live), Leif and Tom Ellis & Joe Ellis (Friday, 28th) and a return of London broken beat party CoOp (Saturday, 29th).
