Orbital, Leftfield, A Guy Called Gerald, Faithless will help kick off new green-field festival Beyond The Tracks on Friday, September 15th. The event at Birmingham’s Eastside City Park will run until Sunday, September 17th with the opening day focused on electronic music.
Orbital headline following the Hartnoll brothers reuniting after a five-year hiatus while fellow dance music pioneers Leftfield will play Leftism in its entirety. Support will come from the anthem-machine that is Faithless plus Jagwar Ma, Higher Intelligence Agency, Pixx, Leftfoot DJs and Magic Door residents Jukes of Hazard and Deano Ferrino.
There will also be an after party hosted by Procreation featuring Orbital’s Phil Hartnoll, A Guy Called Gerald, Bawrut and Timothy ‘Heretic’ Clerkin at The Rainbow’s Blackdot.
Beyond The Tracks is produced by the local promoters behind Moseley Folk Festival, Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul and Lunar Festival. The Saturday will feature Ocean Colour Scene, Maximo Park and The Coral. Sunday will see Editors, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Wild Beasts and Slow Dive play.
