New 300 capacity East London venue

A 300-capacity East London venue has opened in the Truman Brewery complex on Brick Lane. Werkhaus promises to make sound quality a key feature as it hosts nights events featuring acts such as Phobophobes, Strange Cages, Michael James and BUTE in the coming weeks.

The venue has been installed with a Funktion-One sound system, aiming to serve the grassroots music community and internationally-successful artists. Werkhaus has two room setups to accommodate DJ-oriented and live events alongside a variety of music related events from workshops, talks and private functions.

Events Manager, Sean Hitchings, said: “Werkhaus was a natural supply/demand situation. London’s music scene has gone back to its roots and we wanted to create space for the innovative, boundary-pushing artists who present the fabric of what’s emerging. Werkhaus is a high spec, industrial space championing live, club and art focused events from today’s thriving subculture communities. We can’t wait to get started…”
