Motion reveals spring shows

Motor City Drum Ensemble, Denis Sulta, Shanti Celeste, Netsky and Loco Dice are among the acts to play Bristol’s Motion in spring. From the end of March until the middle of June there will be parties hosted by Dropout Disco, The Blast, Cream Ibiza, UKF, Just Jack, ANTS, Anjunadeep and Cirque Du Soul featuring a mix of house, techno, disco and bass.

At the end of March (Saturday, 25th), Dropout Disco curate with Denis Sulta, Maurice Fulton and Brassica, then on Friday, 31st Loco Dice returns to Bristol for Nightowl alongside Fuse boss Enzo Siragusa and B.Traits. On Friday, April 7th The Blast and Bodynod join forces to invite SASASAS, Netsky, Calyx & TeeBee, Culture Shock, Cause & Affect, 1991, Pola & Bryson and more take to the decks.

Cream Ibiza take over on Friday, April 14th with a trance line-up of Gareth Emery, Eddie Halliwell, Cosmic Gate, Jordan Suckley Anthony Probyn, then on Saturday, April 15th ANTS gets the reins with Steve Lawler, Second City, Andrea Oliva, Denney and Yousef. To complete the weekend, on Sunday, April 16th, From The Jam will celebrate the 40th anniversary of debut album In The City while SWU.FM get control of a five room double-warehouse takeover at Motion Skatepark featuring Roni Size & Krust, Pinch, Joker, DieMantel, Foreign Concept and more.

Motion welcome back The Blast wit Radar Radio at The Marble Factory to showcase underground urban and club music on Tuesday, April 21st with AJ Tracey and Kojo Funds. Cirque Du Soul will host their first Friday night at Motion on April 28th, sandwiched between shows by Rejjie Snow (23rd), Foreign Beggars, Richy Ahmed and Ajunabeats (all 29th).

In May, Motion will host two performances of Alana Bloom’s debut solo work Artemis (Thursday, May 4th and Friday, May 5th). Jackmaster and Jasper James take over Motion on Saturday, May 6th with an all-night b2b set then on Wednesday, May 10th J Hus brings his blend of grime and afrobeat. Thursday, May 11th Leftfield will bring their Leftism anniversary tour to Motion, performing the record in full.

Get set for sun at Motion in June with their Just Jack Summer Partaaay on Saturday, June 3rd featuring Motor City Drum Ensemble, Shanti Celeste, Beautiful Swimmers, Objekt, DJ Stingray and DJ Nobu. Oliver Heldens returns to Bristol on Friday, June 9th and the Summer Solstice Yard Party is back on Friday, June 17th.
