The Lake District’s Kendal Calling has confirmed a host of acts to join headliners Dizzee Rascal, James and Maximo Park. Running from Friday, July 27th to Sunday, July 29th in the Lake District, there will be 11 stages which will now include We Are Scientists, The View, Tribes, Spector, DJ Yoda and The Transiberian Marching Band, Ghostpoet, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Swiss Lips, Toddla T, Mosca and DR/U/G/S.
California based act We Are Scientists will (hopefully) bring sunshine with their rock sound and Scottish quartet The View will have their hits such as “Superstar Tradesman” as well as tunes from new album Cheeky for a Reason to play. Camden band Tribes, indie pop act Spector, the maestro of cut and paste DJ Yoda who will perform with the Transiberian Marching Band and Radio 1’s much-loved Jaymo and Andy George will also be at Kendal Calling this year.
Other acts confirmed are singer-songwriter Ryan Keen, lyrical master Ghostpoet, new act Juan Zelada, vocalist Lucy Rose, Rae Morris, Toddla T, Mosca, Pete Roe, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, King Charles, Jack Martello and Spring Offensive. Following an internet pressure campaign in which a band recorded a 1920s inspired song for the Kendal Calling directors, local band The Mono LPs have been granted a slot too.
