Hercules & Love Affair, Tony Allen, Cobblestone Jazz, Raresh and Rhadoo are among the latest acts to be added to Houghton. The three-day festival at Houghton Hall in Norfolk will run from Friday, August 11th to Sunday, August 13th curated by Craig Richards and produced by Gottwood Festival team.
New live music will come from Hercules & Love Affair, afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen showcasing a tribute to American jazz drummer Art Blakey, the one Part Heny Wu one part Kamaal Williams combination of Yussef Kamaal and Cobblestone Jazz - a trio of Tyger Dhula, Mathew Jonson and Danuel Tate.
DJ sets added include Raresh, Rhadoo, Margaret Dygas, Deadbeat, Alex & Digby, Cassy, Magda, Ben UFO, Gerd Janson, Optimo, Voigtmann and Joy Orbison. Further techno will come from a Heartthrob live performance while disco fans can enjoy Derrick Carter, Horse Meat Disco and Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy. Mixmaster Morris will provide ambient murmurs; bass, jungle and eclectic soundtracks come from Radioactive Man, Calibre and dBridge.
The festival is centred around a lake, set among deciduous woodland with venues including an abandoned warehouse, subterranean bowl and a world-renowned art and sculpture park. Previously announced acts include Ricardo Villalobos, Nicolas Jaar, VILOD, Floating Points and Seth Troxler.
