Bonobo, Fever Ray, Bugzy Malone and Bicep will play in Manchester as part of Manchester International Festival and The Warehouse Project’s Special Edition series. Curated with BBC 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs, the four Special Edition shows will run over five nights from Saturday, November 3rd to Saturday, November 10th at Mayfield.
These shows are part of a series of events building up to the opening of The Factory, a new arts space in the heart of Manchester that will be operated by MIF. Lighting designer Stuart Bailes will supply the visuals and the series will run alongside The Warehouse Project’s full 2018 season, yet to be announced.
Bonobo will open the series on Saturday, November 3rd with his Outlier series that will see him DJ alongside Gilles Peterson. George Fitzgerald, Shanti Celeste, Palms Trax and Josey Rebelle provide support.
Fever Ray will play on Tuesday, November 6th while Bugzy Malone gets two shows on Thursday, November 8th and Friday, November 9th. A number of tickets for Malone’s show will be free to young people in Greater Manchester - more details will be announced soon. The final Special Edition show will see Bicep headline on Saturday 10th November. Support acts are to be announced.
