Larry Heard to play AVA Festival plus conference programme


Larry Heard - aka Mr Fingers - will make his debut in Northern Ireland at AVA Festival. The Belfast music festival and conference on Friday, June 1st and Saturday, June 2nd will see a live performance from Heard, and he will present a keynote speech as part of the conference.

Heard’s live festival set at S13 Warehouse will come after the release of his first album in 25 years. He joins the previously announced Floorplan, Bicep, DVS1, Kink, Mall Grab, Denis Sulta, Mano Le Tough, Midland, Or:la, Saoirse and Sunil Sharpe. Belfast talent includes Timmy Stewart, Jordan, Swoose and Cromby and Sally C.

Belfast’s contemporary arts centre, the MAC, hosts AVA’s conference. Larry Heard will discuss his career so far, Bicep will cover their album and live show and Kink will present a live masterclass. There will be workshops from Native Instruments and Pioneer DJ, local label and collective Extended Play will share their knowledge and there will be the opportunity to learn about licensing and rights from PRS For Music and AFEM.
