Inner City Electronic will and use the Leonardo Building on Rossington Street as its hub and host the last ever show at Church Leeds. The event returns on Saturday, June 1st using the Leonardo Building as its hub for drinks, local street food and wristband exchange.
The one-off outdoor venue will see sets from Motor City Drum Ensemble, Nightmares On Wax and Ralph Lawson. Festival director Ben Thompson said: “The team have been working hard behind the scenes to make this happen and we’re excited to have the opportunity to bring something unique to the site ahead of it’s re-development. The fact this is only ever going to happen once makes it event more special.”
Leeds promoters Flux will host the final Church with Nina Kraviz, Octave One, Kelly Lee Owens, DJ Seinfeld plus venues instigator Dave Beer playing the final record. Ralph Lawson said: “I’ve been personally attached to Church since it’s inception and I’m sure looking back in a few years time the best nights there will be the stuff of legends. We will be bringing the full glory of the building to life with Leeds based visual artist Paul Miller projection mapping the historic building as well as fine tuning the awesome L’Acoustics Kara soundsystem to perfection.”
