Maribou State, The Black Madonna, Ross From Friends, Deena Abdelwahed and Hunee will play the seventh edition of Magnetic Fields. The 2019 edition returns to Alsisar in Rajasthan, India from Friday, December 13th to Sunday, December 15th for three days of music, contemporary arts and connections in a 17th century palace.
Also in the first wave of announcements are Palms Trax, HAAi, DJ Lag The F16s, Simo Cell, Nazira, Chhabb Audio, Pulpy Shilpy, Shama Anwar, Monophonik, Ose and Okedo. Esa will present an all-night set focusing around ‘Amandla Music To The People’ while Abhi Meer will present ‘Spektra’.
Fieldlines will be an immersive residency that will culminate in a live studio installation and unique showcase; foodies can get their fill at Magnetic Feasts - an intimate, communal long table Indian culinary experience.
Watch dusk fall over the desert with the Jiosaavn Sundowner, visit the Puqaar Stage for a showcase of vibrant folk music of Rajasthan or head to Magnetic Words for inspiring storytelling.
The theme for 2019 is “the law of seven”, and how it can be observed everywhere in the natural world and in everything we do internally and externally. The festival represents an exciting vision of modern India, and its focus is as much on curating exciting music as on introducing new concepts and experiences to attendees.
Magnetic Fields is an independent festival that was founded by artists for like-minded people. It is produced by Wild City, THOT, Kunal Lodhia, Alsisar Mahal and Smita Singh Rathore with support from Red Bull, Budweiser, Jameson, JioSaavn, Goethe-Institut, Border Movement and Luxembourg Export Office.
