Farr Festival reveals daily stage breakdown


Farr Festival has revealed the day and stage splits for its 2017 edition. This year’s boutique music festival in Bygrave Woods, Hertfordshire from Thursday, July 13th to Saturday, July 15th will welcome acts including Todd Terje, Booka Shade, Young Marco, Omar-S and Mr G across new stages and areas.

The Adventures in Success stage aims to showcase raw talent and iconic institutions. It gets going on Thursday with Kornél Kovács, Moxie and Lean. Amsterdam’s Red Light Radio and label Music from Memory take over on Friday with Helena Hauff, Tornado Wallace, Suzanne Kraft and Daizon. The finale on Saturday is Farr regular Ransom Note curating the stage with Young Marco, Tama Sumo, Moscoman, Sadar Bahar and Jayda G.

The Hidden Palace is back at Farr following its debut last summer tucked away down a leafy path. On Thursday Mister Saturday Night kicks off proceedings with Avalon Emerson, then hand over to Heist Recordings and Shadow City Soundsystem with Honey Dijon, Detroit Swindle, Henry Wu and Adesse Versions. On Saturday, Boy’s Own bring Axel Boman, Terry Farley b2b Daren Nunes, Mr G, Omar-S and Nancy Noise.

New for 2017 will be the ambient and experimental stage at Campfire Headphase curated and hosted by Inverted Audio. They’ve invited acts such as Antepop and Jacques Bon for Thursday, Sad City and Leafar Legov on Friday, then Huerco S., Wolf Müller & Cass., Machine Woman and Terekke on Friday. Brilliant Corners will also be on site with their Yurt featuring residents such as Cedric Woo, Bella Bete, Brian Not Brian, Chuggy and Donna Leake over the three days.

The main stage music starts on Friday dedicated to live shows and varied DJs with Friday featuring Booka Shade, Red Axes, Nao and Jordan Rakei; Saturday it will the turn of Todd Terje, SG Lewis, Submotion Orchestra, Bonzai and Shanty.

Farr regular The Shack returns from Friday too with its ramshackle structure and Funktion One soundsystem. Friday will see Abandon Silence take the reins with DJ Tennis, Leon Vynehall, Craig Richards, Or:la, Andrew Hill, Harry Sheehan, Tom Lye, General Levy and Becca D. Hydra get control on Saturday with Mano Le Tough, Floating Points, Willow, Dolan Bergin, Rupes, Nic Baird, Heels and Souls.
