Brunch -In The Park Barcelona reveals 2018 series

The Brunch -In The Park Sunday party series returns to Barcelona for twelve shows this summer. Every Sunday between July 1st and September 16th, expect electronic music combined with Spainish gastronomy and design with activities for children at the Joan Brossa Gardens in Montjuïc.

From 1pm to 10pm artits such as Jeff Mills, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke, Michael Mayer, Vitalic, Laurent Garnier and Paul Kalkbrenner will be part of line-ups of almost 100 artists including global stars and local talent across two stages.

Alongside the music will be the Petit Brunch programme with dance and hula hoop sessions, juggling and fancy-dress makeup areas, plus a climbing wall, water slides for a range of ages and other surprises. There will be a varied selection of food trucks with options for all types of diets, palates and preferences with an emphasis on locally-sourced ingredients that will change every weekend. Vintage clothing shops and stalls featuring new designers for the Brunch -In The Park Market complete the attractions.

Meanwhile the series will feature a special event, “Day Against Homophobia” in collaboration with the Observatory Against Homophobia, and Brunch has been the first festival to adhere to the ‘No Callem’ protocol against sexual assault and harassment, an initiative encouraging speaking out about sexual harassment at music festivals and in nightclubs.

Further out-reach includes the festival’s continued association with the Social Fooding solidarity project to collects food surpluses from restaurants and shops in the city and help distribute them to needy families and its ‘Alegria & Compromiso’ offering of social and environmentally-focused activities aimed at neighbourhoods and the city of Barcelona as a whole.

Watch out for announcements of show in Lisbon, Valencia and Madrid in the coming weeks. For Brunch -In The Park Barcelona tickets and details go to barcelona.brunch-in.com/park.
