AVA Belfast 2019 reveals conference keynotes and festival day splits

The Black Madonna and Horse Meat Disco, Resident Advisor, Red Bull Music, Help Musicians NI and PRS for Music will provide keynotes and panels at the free AVA Belfast conference this year. Returning to the ‘MAC’, Belfast’s Metropolitan Arts Centre, on Friday, May 31st, it will offer an insight into the music and arts industry from artists, agents, labels and innovators over two days of programming.

AVA invites Resident Advisor back to chat to The Black Madonna in an edition of their live Exchange series while Red Bull Music return with Horse Meat Disco to discuss the shift in night time culture across the capital, and the changes they have faced since they started at The Eagle.

Lead charitable partner Help Musicians Northern Ireland will host panels focused around musicians welfare, funding and health. They will also offer one-to-one support on their long term holistic services. PRS for Music will advise on royalties and tips for licensing usage at the conference.

A Tech Masterclasses with global brands from the industry such as Pioneer, Ableton, Akai will be available and Irish native producer Neil Kerr will host a synth workshop.

The festival runs on Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st. Acts on the Friday include Len Faki, Mall Grab, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Palms Trax, Cromby, DJ Boring, Eclair Fifi and HAAi; Saturday will see sets from Honey Djion, Krystal Klear, Call Super, Courtesy, Daniel Avery, Randomer, Rebekah, Special Request, Brame + Hamo, Or:la and Saoirse.
