20 SonarDôme shows complete Sónar 2019 line-up

Lorenzo Senni, Theo Parrish, Sevdaliza and Dellafuente are among the acts who complete the line-up for Sónar Barcelona 2019. The festival has revealed the final 20 shows that form part of the SonarDôme presented by Red Bull programme at Sónar by Day from Thursday, July 18th to Saturday, July 20th.

On Thursday, Iranian-born singer Sevdaliza will present her take on avant-garde pop and r&b with a show directed by herself - The Great Hope Design - incorporating theatre and choreography. Friday will see Lorenzo Senni perform with his reborn band Stargate, presenting a new show of synth music and epic trance. Saturday will see Theo Parrish play a three-hour set to close this year’s SonarDôme.

Emerging artists set to play SonarDôme include 700 Bliss (the punk-rap duo formed by Moor Mother and DJ Haram), the Germany’s Perel (a new signing to James Murphy’s DFA label), the Mexican duo of experimental electronics and deconstructed club music LAO & Wasted Fates (members of the Latin collective N.A.A.F.I.), South Africans DJ Lag (a key producer of Durban’s Gqom sound) and Petite Noir (futuristic afro-pop).

Spain will be represented in the SonarDôme by MC Dellafuente, a key figure in musica urbana in Spain; the beatmaker and visual director Dano; and participants of the Academy of Berlin: Ylia (playing live, solo, for the first time), the emerging Barcelona producer Shelly and the Galician Nistra, electronic alter ego Novedades Carminha guitarist Anxo Ferreira.

Artists who have recently passed through the classrooms and studios of the Red Bull Music Academy complete the line-up: Sneaks (post-punk and r&b from New York), Anger (synth-pop and future beats from Austria), FAKETHIAS (grime and sound contrasts from Norway), J Colleran (treated pianos and soundscape from Ireland), Katarzia (avant-garde pop and advanced from the Czech Republic), Yakamoto Kotzuga (IDM and instrumental hip hop from Italy), Camille Mandoki (vocal avant-pop from Mexico), Milan W. (ambient and club music mutants from Belgium) and vōx (vocally innovative r&b from California).

These additions bring the shows that will take place at Sónar Barcelona from Thursday, July 18 to Saturday, July 20th to 140 spread across the nine stages and two venues of Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night.
