London’s Fabric will host the first EPM party kicking off its label launch tour celebrating 10 years of working with the top DJs, promoters and clubs on the electronic music scene. On Saturday, February 26th Robert Hood, Orlando Voorn, the Detroit Grand Pubahs and Kone-R will take over Room 2 to mark EPM’s 10th birthday and the release of a compilation of 10 exclusive and unreleased tracks from their friends in the world of electronic music.
EPM 10 will feature artists EPM have worked with over the past decade: whether by artist management, PR, club promotion, radio plugging, DJ booking, publishing or digital distribution. Showcasing some of the most highly regarded artists from the worlds of techno, house, industrial, electro and experimental electronic music. From 80s italo-disco legend Alexander Robotnick to leaders of nu-school house (Dirt Crew, Marco Passarani, Marius) and techno innovators (Robert Hood, Orlando Voorn, James Ruskin, Mark Broom) to industrial experimentalists Sandwell District and purveyors of the finest electro beats (Detroit Grand Pubahs, Radioactive Man and Billy Nasty) the compilation captures the ethos and spirit of what EPM is about.
Minimal master Robert Hood will be taking a departure from this usual style by performing under his new moniker Floorplan.
Heading up Room 2 at Fabric is the esteemed Robert Hood. The minimal master will be taking a departure from this usual style by performing under his new moniker Floorplan – his more disco-influenced guise that will give many an insight into his musical plans for 2011 with a forthcoming release on the EPM 10 compilation. Making a rare UK appearance will be Orlando Voorn, one of the first Dutch musicians to establish a vital connection between Detroit and Amsterdam in the early 90s and has long been recognized as one of the Netherland’s most original and ingenious producers in the world of electronic dance music. This year will see a new artist album from the Dutch legend on Big & Dirty.
Supporting these giants of techno will be Paris the Black Fu and Mr.O, AKA the Detroit Grand Pubahs, bringing their DJ/live set. Their Funkadelic sound offers a unique voice and image injects humour and drama into the one thing they take most seriously above all else, their music. With new single “White Pigeon” dropping we haven’t seen the last of this dynamic duo in 2011. Rounding off the night will be Kone-R , the man behind the Uncharted Audio record label. Manning the turntables since 1992 when he discovered the joy of warehouse raves, the spirit of that era lives on in his sets today, with a liberal sprinkling of ambience, techno, breakbeats and plenty of low frequency oscillations.

If that wasn’t enough to entice you to Fabric on February 26th, the London superclub will also host Marco Carola, Craig Richards, Barem, Terry Francis and La Fleur in its other rooms.
