They came onto the stage. They said nothing.

There was then a hastening within this extraordinary collective; they began to form their presentimental prerogative, a seemingly telepathic energy that ultimately enables them to never fail in one of the most prolific doom metal cohesions. For this reason, there would have to be an imbalance in the electro magnetic field of the relevant venue — for it surely is telepathy that constructs the insane coherence featured in the live performance of ISIS. We are talking of an uncanny ability to not fail in making perfect musical notes and times. They had a content at not glancing one bit at the audience, but rather for the joy of closing their eyes and churning out a musical mesmerism. ISIS seemed supernatural, and the experience is of the same kind.

…ISIS seemed to inoculate the audience with explosive emotions and various hypnotic hypotheses

Thankfully, there was asymmetry in the set they offered. At times, the band roared like a lion impaled on a gigantic thorn, with tracks such as “Celestial” (from the eponymous titled debut LP). Then of course there was the dissent from rampage, a drop that deceieved the laws of speed, as ISIS took the audience to the imperturbable realms of their sound. One of which was the comatose featured in the opening movement of “Carry”, from the LP Oceanic. ISIS seemed to inoculate the audience with explosive emotions and various hypnotic hypotheses, I hope that this vaccination from the lack of clarity in mind is a permanent one; at least for myself.
